A late-night car chase took place before dawn Friday morning on Harrison Ave and ended with criminals firing shots at a Humboldt County Sheriff's deputy, according to the Eureka Reporter. The chase ended on Togo Street, a short road on the western edge of Myrtletown near Harrison Ave.
The suspects got away after fleeing their vehicle and firing at officers and are believed to be connected to or responsible for multiple recent armed robberies in Eureka and Arcata, including the robbery at the Harris & K market Tuesday evening.
The suspects were in a blue 1992 Pontiac Sunbird. As stated in the Eureka Reporter, "Anyone with information about the vehicle or suspects are urged to phone Humboldt County Sheriff Detective Sgt. Wayne Hanson at 707-445-7301."
