I have been trying to alter my work schedule to try and get to this event. No that I am politically motivated, but to see a former president up here. May even be a once in a lifetime deal.

That's kind of how I feel about it. I wasn't a big fan of his politics at the time he was in office, but I have always admired his charisma. I think it would be inspiring to see him speak even if he is just here to plug Hillary.
One thing is for sure, this is the biggest event to happen in Myrtletown in a long, long time. Woooo!

This is such exciting news. I hope the weather is nice so they don't cancel. We will be helping set-up this morning.

Carol: Really? You're involved? Can you provide any more details? Like the exact time the doors open, what to expect, are cameras allowed, etc?
Yes I am excited, too. It's not every day a former US president visits Humboldt County. I rearranged my entire schedule and worked overtime Tuesday so I can make it to this event tonight.

Ok I guess I could have checked the papers for details before asking Carol....
According to the Times-Standard, there is only room for 400 people in the Home Arts building... yikes, how early will they be lining up I wonder?

A tip from the comments on SamoaSoftball suggests tuning into KSLG or KHUM (live web streams) for radio broadcasts covering Clinton's speech.

Both radio streams are down - too many people trying to listen at once. Time to dig out the radio!
