Community web site gets some attention
We were pleased to find a story on our new wifi internet hotspot written by Rebecca Bender on the cover of today's Eureka Reporter.
Thanks for the write-up ER, and we especially want to thank our neighbors, friends, volunteers, and of course those who donated funds to help build the wifi antenna. We definitely could not have done it without real community support, and we truly hope Myrtletown.net can continue to be a useful tool for many Humboldt County residents, visitors, and businesses.

I'll be found loitering in Myrtletown someday when I get a laptop.
Perhaps Henderson center could follow your fine example.

Hi Julie,
If you are within range of our signal, you should see the network called Myrtletown.net from your computer. There is no password--the network is publicly accessibly. If you can get a signal, then you should be able to connect without any further setup.
